The Vallemar School Library

The Vallemar School Library is a bright, welcoming space that nurtures a love of reading for all students from TK through fifth grade. With over 15,000 books, including a robust nonfiction section and a growing biography collection, the library offers endless opportunities for curiosity and discovery. More than just a place for books, it’s a caring and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to explore new stories and ideas. At Vallemar, the library truly brings together reading, learning, and kindness in one special space.

Vallemar Voice

We have so many wonderful traditions here at Vallemar—Family Days, Spirit Weeks, the Halloween Parade, the Fall Fun Fest, the Pony Plop, Spring into Summer, the Variety Show, and our Auction, to name a few. This week, I’d like to spotlight one of our most meaningful traditions: our participation in Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day and why it’s such a perfect fit for our school community.

Pacifica School District provides students with a variety of digital tools and online resources designed to support learning, creativity, and well-being. Through our Clever Portal, students can easily access educational apps, classroom programs, and enrichment opportunities. In addition to academic tools, this page includes links to important information such as bullying prevention, digital citizenship, and student support services. 

Workplace Violence Prevention Plan

1. Workplace Violence Policy

Pacifica School District will not tolerate workplace violence and is committed to maintaining a safe workplace for all employees, supervisors, managers, vendors, contractors, and visitors. The workplace is defined as any time or place where the conduct occurs while on School District business, at a School District-sponsored event, or if the conduct impacts the workplace, regardless of where it occurs.test

PE Instruction

Pacifica School District is proud to provide a strong Physical Education (PE) program to all of our students.  In grades 6-8, students receive PE instruction from teachers that are specialists in this area, holding teaching credentials in PE.  In grades 1-5, classroom teachers use State PE standards to plan and coordinate each student’s PE instruction.  

Title IX

Federal Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (“Title IX”), implemented at 34 C.F.R. § 106.31, subd. (a), provides that no person shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any academic, extracurricular, research, occupational training, or other education program or activity operated by a recipient which receives federal financial assistance.  Relevant here, Title IX requires the Pacifica School District to take immediate and appropriate action to investigate when it knows or reasonably should know of a possible Title IX violation.
